This is the newsletter/waitlist behind Exhibits in New York, a forthcoming iOS app that lets you track and review shows around the city. Here, we send just one image + an itinerary of shows available for your review. If you’re a new here, welcome! You’ll get your app invite Saturday morning. -Sarah

The above is from a small show at the Guggenheim highlighting Dutch painter Piet Mondrian. If you’re only familiar with his (very famous) abstract images, you’ll find plenty here that surprises you, including the inoffensively pretty images he would sell to sustain his less than lucrative obsession with the abstract. Show is on view through April 20th. Also in the upper east side (and available for review):
Harmony and Dissonance: Orphism in Paris, 1910–1930. Also at the Guggenheim.
Neue Sachlichkeit/New Objectivity. Neue Galerie. Upper East Side.
Cy Twombly. Gagosian. Through March 22.
Thanks for reading! If you like the idea of a social review site (kind of like Letterboxd) but for exhibits in the city, consider sharing this newsletter with a friend.
